All of our design services follow the same basic principles. Firstly we visit your site, discuss with you what you are looking for, and what we can offer you.
If you decide you want to proceed we offer a three-stage service to an agreed master plan, and then other services, such as detailed specifications, construction drawings, planting plans, and managing the building of the garden, as you require them.
Three-stage service to agreed Master Plan
Stage 1: Initial consultation, discussing your needs, budget, and the brief.
Stage 2: Surveying the site, recommending if further surveys or planning permissions needed, confirming the brief, preparing mood boards and sketch plan to discuss with you, and agreeing the plan
Stage 3: Agreeing detail of materials and preparing the Master Plan with an outline specification for the landscape work
Three further stages are offered – we find most of our clients like to use our services for these stages
Stage 4: Detailed drawings for the Master Plan – planting plans, construction drawings, and setting-out drawings.
Stage 5: Tendering – organising quotations from landscape contractors, and preparing the contracts
Stage 6: Project monitoring
All of the above stages are covered by the Joint Council of Landscape Industries (JCLI) Consultancy Agreement for a Home Owner/Occupier, which is the standard contract recommended by the Society of Garden Designers and used by Oxford Garden Partners.
