Kate Jury and Emi Itoh formed Oxford Garden Partners, a practice based in Oxford, UK, in 2010. Since then we have collaborated on over 25 projects, ranging from large village gardens to small urban courtyards, and including some public work for children's centres, schools, and museums.
Emi Itoh is a garden designer based in Oxford, UK. She received a diploma from the Oxford College of Garden Design, one of the UK's leading residential landscaping schools, and has RHS Level 2 certificate in Horticulture.
Before coming to the UK, she lived in Japan, the US and France. This exposure to diverse landscapes and the disctinctively different town-scapes evolving around them, sparked her interest in gardens, the place where nature and the man-made world meet half-way.
Her interests outside of garden design range from playing the violin and exploring English countryside to growing Japanese culinary herbs.
Kate Jury is a garden designer and horticulturalist with twenty years experience of creating gardens and outdoor spaces. She is also a keen allotment gardener, growing vegetables, fruit, and flowers on her Oxford allotment.
Kate graduated from the prestigious Oxford College of Garden Design with a post-graduate diploma in Residential Landscape Architecture. Previously she studied horticulture at the English Gardening School in Chelsea, graduating with distinction as top student in her year. Kate's original training was in History, and she has an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford.
Kate is a graduate member of the Society of Garden Designers, and a Trustee of the Barracks Lane Community Garden in Oxford.
